Based in San Diego, California, Sweet Vibes is an adult boutique that delivers innovative lifestyle products and embraces the taboo of sexual wellness instead of hiding it.

Marketed on Amazon and having their own  e-commerce site, the need to study the brand was required in order to help develop different visual graphics ranging from corporate design such as press kit, catalogues, and style guidelines, to social media content and other visuals for the website / Amazon listings.

MISSION STATEMENT

The project was born with the intention of studying the brand, what they are doing and how they are doing it. The key task was researching and developing a SWOT analysis and conclusions about best practices from their socials, website and other sources.

The main goal was to get to know the brand beforehand to develop the required graphics on a day to day basis for different social campaigns and other corporative work.

SWOT ANALYSIS

STRENGHTS

  • They produce and sell their own toys.

  • Sleep product designs that give the appearance of being accesible, elegant and very easy to use.

  • Appears in relevant media sites.

  • Forever warranty policy.

  • Well defined values and audience.

  • 'Become a partner' program.

WEAKNESSES

  • Only available for online shopping.

  • Rather small product portfolio.

  • Little information about the brand itself, their goals and values on their website.

  • Inconsistencies in social media posts style.

  • Product reviews are hard to find on the website.

  • Product packaging doesn't reflect their website's

  • or social media pages' style.

OPPORTUNITIES

  • Very recent and not quite settled market.

  • Blog section on the website.

  • Original and unique products.

  • Open minded target audience.

  • Having already some following to start from and the popularity of other social media platforms like Youtube.

THREATS

  • Many brands in the market that sell similar products targeted to the same audience.

  • Even if they claim to be affordable, other brands offer very competitive prices and discounts.

  • Many brands from the competition are collaborating with influencers on socials.

BEST PRACTICES

  • Create their own social media content following a similar aesthetic that matches the brand's visual identity.

  • Point out what makes their product different so they stand out of the competition.

  • Give more importance to the blog: use it as a platform to create a forum so people can share experiences and opinions generating.        a sense of community.

  • Upload more informational content to Instagram and other platforms such as Youtube. This could also generate a sense of community.

  • Collaborate with influencers to have a bigger online presence and become more known.

  • Create a section on their website that contains extended information about the brand's values and goals.

  • Create a review section under each product so costumers could find them helpful and encourage them to make the decision to purchase the product, or which Sweet Vibes' product fits better with them.
